This site is a commonplace book made public. The writing is the thing; the apparatus is just to help you find it. What you'll find here are the entries I'd otherwise have kept to myself — essays I've worked on long enough to want to share, a running ledger of the films and books worth your time, the places I've been and the ones I'm still saving for, the tools that earn their keep, and the clothes I find myself reaching for.

It is a small, deliberate room. There is no algorithm here, no engagement loop, no one trying to convert you to anything. There is also, by design, a great deal of white space — room for your own marginalia, if you'd like to keep your own.

Stay as long as you'd like.
