Stranger Than Heaven
RGG Studio
The Yakuza series is a jolly good show. In the Kojima half-cinematic, fully-actionable world-within-world kinda way. They're polishing a Westworld and it's a fun time every time.
Westworld was about a futuristic, animatronic world. The RGG team has been building a virtual world-within-world that revisits the same slice of life over and over with an epic story each time.
Different flavored entries (e.g. Pirate Yakuza vs. Like A Dragon vs. Yakuza 0 vs Lost Judgment, etc.). And this one seems like a rather epic generational shift, shown both explicitly across Like a Dragon - Ishin through Judgment and Yakuza 0 and everywhere else.
I'm excited for this slice of life showcase and I pray it's half as good as I'm hoping (esp. for the rabid cult fanbase's behalf).
