King of the Hill
Mike Judge
My favorite animated comedy series. The quality never dips too low and the laughs get better with age.
We are now up to S15 of King of the Hill. And we're all better off for it. This is the second season of the revival and it's got some great footing.
The voices have always been one of the main highlights of the show. Because a good line is one thing, but a good line perfectly delivered takes it to another level and King of the Hill's mix of deadpan, manic, kinetic voice work has always been well done.
Now, time's past and they let the characters actually grow up unlike other animated sitcoms. And folks have died, RIP to all of the legends cutting across decades on this one.
If you've ever lived a suburban and/or redneck life, this is some true-to-heart material that will likely make you laugh. Mike Judge has a knack for capturing a particular time-in-place (also see: Office Space, Silicon Valley, Common Side Effects, Beavis and Butthead, etc).
I am better off having watched this.
