Mr Inbetween
Scott Ryan
Three great seasons from a brilliant mind (written and starring in). It's got humor, suspense, action, drama, and everything in between.

FX used to have some excellent shows. They invested in brilliant creators (also see: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louie, etc.).
This show is cut from that same brilliant cloth. A bit like HBO's Barry, except this one debuted first from the mind of an unsung auteur.
It's only three seasons, but each one is pretty darn good and the overall arc wraps itself up nicely enough (they could've kept going but schmucks like you didn't want it I suppose).
Anyhoo, I strongly recommend you give this one a go. The first episode is all you need to see if the dry, dark humor is your style.
