Imperfect beings we are, remaining active is essential for your body, brain, and spirit. And for some it comes easier than others, again because of the imperfect nature of our existence and such.

Biking is truly one of the very best ways to stay active, particularly in the cardiovascular realm (see: rise and fall of Peloton) and it's objectively superior to running, given that you're kinder to your joints while properly exerting them and you properly cover more ground for sights to see (c.f. sauntering which maximizes the opportunity to stop and stare and slowly take in the wonder of the world , etc).

Anywhoo, this bike is tremendous and I've had good louck with Ride1Up, which undoubteldy resells Chinese parts (but again, not a bad thing re: not paying premium for a Trek that also likely sources many parts from there which is by no means inherently wrong or bad, just a consideration).

I've had the Lmt'd v1 and now this CF Racer1. Both fine bikes with the Lmt'd being a 1k+ mile over ~4 years for a wonderful starter bike. But this new CF Racer1 is a clear step up in terms of quality -- the smoothness of the ride in both pedaling and non-pedaling, the light yet sturdy quality of the carbon fiber parts, the gorgeous and glistening speckled black paint job. It's simply an amazing bike with tubeless tires and many other things that intuitively feel wonderful but are also well regarded by those deeper into the parts side of biking (like cars -- I know a good ride when I feel one but am not keen on DIY mechanical upkeep).

I strongly recommend this bike or a similar one. And I strongly recommend finding an outdoor hobby that keeps you active, and even better if you can find multiple. Biking is one of the best (hiking a close second) and I've got immaculate trails right outside my doorstep so taking advantage of those with an incredible ebike has been a true joy and I hope you similarly experience that for yourself.
