GameOn near Meriwether Post Pavilion is worth a visit if you're looking for arcade gaming and general shenanigans. It's within the Meriwether District and a genuine gathering place for Columbia, Maryland's limited but spirited nightlife scene. The retro arcade aesthetic oozes throughout and sets the tone the moment you walk in, and whether you're catching a concert next door or just after a night out, it pulls you in. The pricing is solid too, especially on nights with good specials.
And then of course there is the bar-arcade fusion itself. Decently maintained games, well themed drinks, and a vibe that shifts throughout the day, from family-friendly in the early hours to a livelier nightlife scene as evening sets in. The staff are exceptional and genuinely helpful, and decent bar food rounds things out, from glizzies and pizza to the usual fried bar fare with a sizeable cocktail selection and delicious drafts to go with it.
I recommend a visit if in the area for Merriweather or are enthralled at the idea of both gaming and getting grub in general.
