My favorite notebook remains MUJI Pocket Notebook (Passport Memo Notebook, 4.9" X 3.5" inch) for the overall pocketability and lined notes. But nowhere seems to sell them anymore.

And the Panobook is far and away my favorite notebook for the desk (give it a try; placing a notebook underneath your keyboard alongside a glorious Zebra F-701 is lifechanging).

HOWEVER the Rite in the Rain has proven its worth.

I started bringing some rough pre-written topics for a ~30-60 minute walk each day to talk work and ideas with ai with a face full of sun to clear my mind (see: Sauntering). Well, those notes started mysteriously going through the wash and yet I was able to find them and re-reference (some days I don't get to talk through all my topics!).

Anywho, here's the types I picked up and enjoy for the suspected longevity given the proven durability.

  • 3x5 Top Spiral Notebook
  • 3.25x4.5 Stapled Notebook

The paper itself feels a bit weird, but no weird pen is needed to reap it's advantages (and reminder: I'm a Zebra F701 purist).
