Ellicott City
Ellicott City, Maryland, United States
To be frank there's not a ton going on here that'd be worthwhile for out-of-towners. But if you're nearby then you're doing yourself a disservice by not spending a half-day here.
Note that the above is specifying "Old" Ellicott City. That is a distinct region different than the straigh-ish stretch of road that is “Ellicott City”, although in that stretch of road's defense it is peppered with some incredible restaurants that I am deciding not to characterize any further.
Anywho, Old Ellicott City is a quaint early America slice of life that’s clung on by virtue of railroads and being positively quaint to stroll around with a high density of stores and restaurants and other things that make a town worthy of visiting.
Must do
- B&O Train Museum
- Manor Hill Tavern
- The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar
- Bon Chon (not in Old Ellicott City)
