Strathmore

I went for Patton Oswalt Live! and I would gladly go to the Strathmore for another show.

The venue itself is quite good if not premier (and although North Bethesda is part of the taint of Maryland in my opinion). Easy parking with a skybridge. The food selection was wanting but the beer was decent with local beverage options from 7 Locks brewery in addition to all the other basics you'd expect (e.g. bags of chips, etc.). Didn't eat any food because went to a diner prior, but also didn't have a hankering for anything they were selling.

You do need to buy the souvenir sippy cup if you want to bring your beverage into the show. We were gifted them by a kind employee who took pity on our plight of re-entering the long line prior to dashing in for the start of the show.

They have a beautiful auditorium with modern seating, good acoustics, and a sizeable stage (was commented on by Patton Oswalt during the show. The balcony view was great and it was an outing made thanks to the venue.

If you have time to burn ahead of whatever performance you're attending, there's a mansion a stone's throw away that has some nifty artwork in a small gallery and some lovely grounds to traipse around for a bit.

We stumbled into a piano recital and accidentally wandered into rooms that were apparently not meant for visiting at that moment, resulting in being cast out, but we had seen the expanse of the small mansion nearly in its entirety by that point.## Immediate Thoughts
