The food is incredible, the architecture fascinating, and the charm of a storied but forgotten city was very enjoyable.
Their WW2 Museum is breathtaking in size and curated so well with the exhibits alongside a multi-story quasi-airplane hangar (c.f. Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center — Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum which also gives their glorious exhibits adequate space to breathe!).
The main draw for me was The Mars Volta and they played in the amazing Orpheum Theater. But I don't know who was at fault for the show's audio being very, very lacking.
